About the Nevada Job Vacancy Survey
The Nevada Job Vacancy Survey is now being conducted to identify the current number and types of job opportunities available in Nevada based on a survey of 3002 firms across all industries.

Survey results assist schools, employment and training service providers, and local workforce investment boards in informing students and jobseekers about occupations that are in demand. Additionally, the survey results assist employers, in planning solutions to hiring needs.
What kind of information will be available?
By measuring the number of vacant positions for which employers are hiring, the Nevada Job Vacancy Survey provides valuable insights into employment conditions in our state. Survey results show not just the number of vacant positions, but also a number of job characteristics that reveal the immediate workforce needs of employers.
For each vacant position, the survey gathers information about the following requirements and characteristics:
Full-time / Part-time
Permanent /temporary status
Number of weeks vacant
Results are cross-tabulated by occupation group, industry, and region.
