Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Program

Local Employment Dynamics (LED) program is an innovative new state/federal partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau and Nevada's Department of Employment,Training and Rehabilitation \ Research & Analysis Bureau to provide new demographic employment information called Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWIs). Local decision makers: employers, workers, transportation agencies, education and training institutions, and economic development agencies - need current, local data to make decisions. The new Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWIs) series provides just that.
Quarterly Workforce Indicators offers:
- Information that is local to the county or metropolitan area, so that decisions can be made in the right context.
- Information on employment and wages in different industries is now available by age and gender, so you know where the jobs are and what wage rate are.
- Dynamic information on the changing economy is now available through job dissolution and creation measures, as well as, turnover and long-term industry trends.
Employers can understand where workers live as well as where they have worked.
Suppliers can use trends on business job creation and dissolution - by industry and by location- to decide where to locate.
Educational and training institutions can examine earnings for new and incumbent workers in different industries to benchmark their performance and improve their placement strategies.
Job seekers can see which types of business are hiring workers of their age, what they're paying, and what the growth trends are.
